Say Hello to Flora Springs Wines!
In the past, I have never featured a specific winery nor have I featured all of the wines of any winery. So, here is a first… Flora Springs Napa Valley Estate Winery.
Flora Springs was founded in 1978 by the Komes and Garvey family. The winery’s history dates back to the late 1800s when wine grapes were first planted on the property at the end of West Zinfandel Lane in Napa Valley.
This winery has been family owned for over four decades and has over 500 acres of land in which 300 are planted vineyards. (Carneros, Oakville, Rutherford and St. Helenda.)
They farm sustainable and focus on quality, not quantity. Total production is 28,000 cases and they sell grapes to 52 other wineries.
We, at Pour Vous are very excited to present the wines of Flora Springs!
Chardonnay – Napa Valley
This chardonnay displays notes of caramel, fresh mango and stone fruit. It is beautifully balanced offering a rich complex mouthfeel and finishes with crisp acidity.
I am not a fan of most chardonnays but this wine is my most favorite chardonnay.
Sauvignon Blanc – Napa Valley
This sauvignon blanc has layered flavors of lemongrass, honeysuckle and candied ginger. The wine has a zesty acidity and spicy undertones.
This is unlike any sauvignon blanc I have ever tasted!
Merlot – Napa Valley
A soft supple red wine that boasts of plum, strawberry, dark cherry with hints of cocoa, raspberry and brown spice.
Wow! Overall, this wine is the way merlots should be made!
Cabernet Sauvignon – Napa Valley
This is a beautiful full bodied cabernet, but not overwhelming. It is well balanced with soft tannins. This wine is packed full of flavor and aromas of cassis, bing cherry and licorice and is accompanied by warm notes of clove, sandalwood and espresso.
What a great long finish too! Beautiful and elegant!
The Ghost Winery Red Blend – Napa Valley
This wine is a blend of 52% cabernet sauvignon, 20% merlot, 17% syrah, 8% petite verdot and 3% cabernet franc. The bottle has 3 different labels.
This is the well priced fun wine of the group. All in all, anyone who doesn’t like red wines will love this wine!
Trilogy Red Blend – Napa Valley
This is a handcrafted cabernet based blend. Multiple layers present concentrated flavors of blackberry, cassis and cocoa with notes of sandalwood white pepper and licorice that linger on the finish.
