2018 Joel Gott California Sauvignon Blanc
Fruit from both Napa Valley and the marine influenced Monterey offers tropical aromatics, while fruit from Sonoma vineyards add good concentration and flavor. Santa Barbara fruit comes from vineyards planted in the Santa Ynez and Happy Canyon appellations, both of which experience morning coastal fog and afternoon winds, adding to the wine’s tropical notes. Vineyards planted in the hillsides of Happy Canyon on top of rocky, diverse soils give the wine its crisp, clean minerality. Combining fruit from throughout the state creates a balanced, food- friendly wine.

“Brilliant old gold color. Aromas and flavors of dried apricot, candied pineapple, baked pear, beeswax, allspice, and magnolia with a round, lively, very sweet medium body and a tingling, delightful, medium-length finish that exhibits notes of lychees and peaches in syrup with no oak flavor. A juicy, singing ice wine that will have you coming back for more.”

Gaia Red Blend
Named for the Earth Mother goddess in Greek mythology, Gaia Red and White Blends are a multi-varietal cornucopia of estate-grown grapes. This Old World tradition of blending varieties is updated to highlight modern, non-classic New World pairings. The primary grape comprises around 50% of the mix.
Each vintage, the bounty from the estate is blended a bit differently to reflect what Mother Nature has offered. A new taste adventure every year — be it a wild berry Malbec, spicy Syrah, and polished Cabernet Sauvignon trio, or a white trio of delicate Chardonnay, white peach Pinot Gris and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc.
50% Malbec 45% Syrah 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 10 months in French oak.
